MANHATTAN ORANGE
The Manhattan was the world's most famous cocktail shortly after its invention at the Manhattan Club in New York, around 1880 (as the story goes). Over the years, this whiskey classic has had its ups and downs before becoming one of the cornerstones of the craft cocktail renaissance. It's amazing that this 19th century cocktail still looks and tastes the same as what is served today in any decent cocktail bar. The Manhattan's blend of American whiskey and Italian vermouth, with a few drops of aromatic bitterness, is timeless and flavorful - the very definition of what a cocktail should be. One of the greatest classics behind the "martini". This version uses Angostura, essential in all variations, but also a drop of orange bitter which helps to brighten up the cocktail, by mixing the whiskey and vermouth in a harmonious way.
